Eimar Watson

Eimar joined Simpson & Brown in 2020 and returned in 2025 after a period of working and studying in London and Cambridge. Eimar has extensive experience in the conservation of historic buildings, and she has previously held accreditation in conservation (AABC).

Eimar works on a wide range of projects including public, ecclesiastical and residential buildings, and has worked in both Scotland and England. She has previously led on nationally important projects for clients such as the Parliamentary Estate and Historic Royal Palaces. She is experienced in undertaking condition surveys and has produced heritage documents for a range of buildings and landscapes.

Since joining Simpson & Brown, Eimar has worked on domestic projects for private clients, large-scale public buildings and has led on the production of conservation area character appraisals for two conservation areas in Orkney for Orkney Islands Council. She is currently involved in projects at Manchester Cathedral, Bannockburn House and Walton Park House in Dumfries and Galloway.

Eimar is completing PhD research at the University of Cambridge on the history of British polished limestone.

Following a devastating fire in December 2017, Simpson & Brown have been involved as conservation architects in the restoration process to bring the Category B listed Cameron House back into use.
