As part of a wider conservation plan and architectural development project, we produced a small consultation exhibition to inform regular users of the Mint Yard area and York Explore.
Four panels were produced which highlights in detail the historical development of the site (including sketch phase perspective views); the assessment of heritage value of the site; the key conservation policies that the report was recommending for the future management of the site; and a final panel that explored the various options for protection of important features, and the possible re-use of the remains of St Leonard’s hospital.
All the panels used the rigorous historical and archaeological research that had informed the conservation plan, and were richly illustrated with both archive material and sketch drawings from the architectural team.
