Cringletie House Hotel

Cringletie House is a mid-19th century Scots Baronial mansion near Peebles, originally designed by David Bryce for the Wolfe Murray family. The house operated as a hotel for a considerable number of years when new owners purchased the business in 2003 and commissioned Simpson & Brown to upgrade the accommodation and remodel the interiors.

The brief called for major alterations to facilitate disabled access and improve circulation throughout the hotel. It also included the installation of a lift and the conversion of the service wing to create additional bedroom suites.

Simpson & Brown continue to be involved in the project with potential future phases of work including a new restaurant and spa.
